For the large majority of electronics, hobby and general repair soldering, yes — 60W gives enough heat recovery to work through a session without the tip cooling on larger joints. It becomes limiting only for thicker-gauge wire (automotive, heavy cable work) or larger ground-plane connections that pull heat away faster than a 60W iron can replace it. For that heavier work, 70–75W or more gives more comfortable headroom.
